Turn Key Supply Chain
The two Co-Founders came to Heimdall with a problem statement: “Our brand was born out of our creative ability, and it is in the realm of design where we can add most value. Cognitive horsepower we have spent trying to understand what our Supply Chain should look like has inhibited business success”.
This realization the Co-Founders came to is far from unique in the startup world, especially in the early inception days. Young businesses are faced with a tough choice: learn the basics of Supply Chain 101 and execute in a bootstrapped way, acknowledging that the suboptimal outcome is necessitated by the lack of hours in a day. Alternatively: stretch the budget to bring in another employee, experienced in operations and Supply Chain to handle the necessary workload.
Both of these options come with severe downsides, and sizable risk, especially for an organization in its infancy. Which is why Heimdall developed the “Turn Key Supply Chain” solution.
To liberate the Co-Founders to focus on the creative ideation aspect of the business, Heimdall developed a strategic direction for the Supply Chain that was functional today, while offering the nimbleness to grow with the company down the line. We contracted with multiple manufacturers both overseas and domestic, and leveraged our established relationships to quickly standup transportation and distribution networks, at a cost that would have been unachievable had the company negotiated rates independently, given the economies of scale inherent to Heimdall’s Turn Key solution.
What was most exciting about the Turn Key solution in this case, was that Heimdall was able to develop and actively manage, a class leading Supply Chain, for a cost that was lower than had the company hired a skilled Operations leader.
